Hi John White,
Your: affirm in fact that Johannes was Hessian and not Brunswicker like
Karl.

Makes me think that possibly you believe that the term Hessian used on this
list only means a German soldier that was a Hessian. Forgive me if I'm
incorrect, but OUR term Hessian is used as a general naming for all German
soldiers who served in any German unit in the Rev. War on the English side.
So your Johannes in this cercumstances would be considered a Hessian, even
though it was not his unit nor where he came from.....
