Thank you Don - the EDEL-EDELL name is not real common, of course today
there are more but back 200 years ago it was rare-- and I have had a hard
time tracing my EDEL-EDELL ancestors, I have gotten back to HENRY H. EDEL
born 1830 in Philadelphia and am trying to determine his parentage, ---
there was a CHRISTIAN EDEL in Germantown died 1769, his wife CATHERINE was
pregnant and his will written Oct. 1769 mentioned the unborn child, the
baby born Jan 1770 after he died was a boy named JOHANN EDEL - so now I
have two JOHANN EDELs to investigate as possible GrGrGrandfathers -- the
one in Germantown-Philadelphia, and the one that jumped ship in Maine
!!!! Sally
