Has anyone on this list ever heard of the following Anderson
genealogy book? Not sure if it ever got published, so the
authors are all we have at this point. Appears to be 3 people
involved. Carolyn (Anderson) Clark, researching Augusta Co. and
Greenbriar Co. VA Andersons

occupations
| professions etc. I shall ask you the following questions. 1.
Birth
| Marriage and death of your mother Margaret C. McCue. My list
says she
| was born 2 Nov. 1829. What does the "C" stand for? 2. Birth
and death
| if he is dead of your father Wm. Bolivar Dorman. 3. Births
Marriages
| and deaths of their children your brothers and sisters Charles
Preston,
| William, John McCue Winters, Minerva, Amanda, Elizabeth Bell,
and
| James. 4. Birth and Marriage of yourself and husband and your
children
| should you have any.

| Any information that you may send me of any branch of our large
family
| will be most heartily appreciated. >>> Your kinsman Wm. T.
McCue Staunton Va. and Dr. John J. Halsey [Halfey?] Lake
| Forest, Ill. are co-operating and aiding me in this matter.<<<
I will say
| that we three have joined in the preperation of the Anderson
pedigree
| for publication. The children of John and Jane Anderson were
1 Esther
| 2 Mary 3 Margaret [who married Cap James Allen and whose
daughter
| Elizabeth Allen married Rev. John McCue father and mother of
John McCue
| your grandfather born 17 Feb 1793] 4 John, 5 Jane [who first
married Lt.
| Hugh Allen killed at Pt. Pleasant and 2nd Wm. Craig.] 6 Robert
moved to
| So Carolina Col. in Revolution etc. 7 James Cap in Revolution
etc. 8
| Andrew Ensign, Lt. and Cap. in Revolution and 9 William Cap in
the
| Revolution etc. You yourself and W. T. McCue are descended
from
| Margaret Anderson and Cap. James Allen. Dr. John J. Halsey is
a
| descendant of Col. Robert Anderson of So. Carolina and I am a
descendant
| of both John Anderson and Cap William Anderson. You see from
this that
| we are cousins even though it be a little far off.
