After reading Patrick's latest bulletin to all list members re protocol and list orientation, I don't feel quite so bad :-) I was about to unsubscribe as it seemed the list was almost exclusively about American Andersons - none of whom (as far as I know) are connected to my area of interest - my wife's ancestors from Fife.

I am interested in James Anderson, son of Samuel Anderson and Catherine Christie, who was born in the parish of Beath in Fife around 1816. I am hoping to make contact with anyone else interested in this family. James migrated to Melbourne, Australia in the early to mid 1840s - the exact date is uncertain as he was married and producing a family by 1846 it would be prior to that date.

Any help would be appreciated.
