BENJAMIN F. ANDERSON, 61, died Saturday evening [17 Oct 1931] at his home
near LaCenter. He had been an invalid for the past 10 years.
A resident of Clark County since his birth, he spent much of his time on the
Anderson farm near LaCenter. He is survived by ten children, eight of whom
are sons, and eight grandchildren. The surviving children - all grown folk
now - are Guy, of Lynden WA; Clinton, of Chehalis; Ernest, of LaCenter;
Herbert and Edwin, both of Bakersfield CA; Claude, of Kelso; Donald, of the
Hawaiian Islands; Howard, of Berkeley CA; Mrs. Florence Rhodes, of LaCenter;
and Mrs. Elsie Mills, of Ridgefield.
The remains are at Kirch's Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in the
LaCenter Community Church. Interment will be in the LaCenter Odd Fellows
Cemetery.

In addition to the survivors named in the obituary, Ben was survived by his
widow, Anna; brothers James R. and Curtis Anderson of LaCenter; and sisters
Belle Woodland of Aberdeen, Lenore Johnston of California, and Mary Woodland
of Vancouver.
Ben was born at LaCenter on 7 Mar 1870. On 20 Sep 1891 at LaCenter he
married Anna Maria Brothers (1871-1952). Their children Ruth, Merrill,
Marie and an infant son pre-deceased him.
Ben was the son of Magilbra Anderson and Caroline (Williams) Anderson, who
came to LaCenter in 1865. Magilbra was from Union Co IL and Caroline from
neighboring Jackson County, where they were married in 1855.
