Announced at NGS: Genealogy Collection Builders

Genealogy Collection Builders. Who built the genealogy library
collection that you use and depend upon? Who are the librarians that
keep it strong and provide great service today? We would like to know
who you are and who the builders whose work you benefit from were.

*Who Built the Genealogy Collection at Your State Library? Your County
Library? *Who Built the Collection at Your Historical Society? Your
Genealogical Society? *Who Are the Librarians that Continue to Build and
Provide Access to the Genealogy Collection in Your Public Library? *Who
Are the Archivists that Built that Great Collection at Your College
Library?

The Godfrey Memorial Library invites genealogy societies, genealogists,
libraries and librarians from around the world to submit biographical
sketches about the genealogy librarians and others who are responsible
for building genealogy collections and continue to serve genealogists
today.

This exciting new project is working to identify and document the lives
and contributions of all librarians, archivists, curators, genealogists
and others who made a difference in this work..in all time periods and
in all countries.

For a nomination form, please stop by the Godfrey Memorial Library booth
at the NGS Conference or send an e-mail requesting a form to:

Please help us to make this book complete. Be sure to include the
librarians that built the collections genealogists rely on in your town,
your state, your country. We don't want to leave anyone out.
