Hi, Oma, I have not been diligent with checking the message boards since about Aug. I had surgery. I am so glad to know you are still with us in this world. I had heard your name as long as 5 years ago, but could find no contact for you. I show Rhoda Langston to be the maiden name of my g-g grandmother, who first married Moses Meek. Her mother and siblings lived near to she and Moses, in Milam County, Texas on the 1850 census. Her mother was Lydia Langston, and the kids were William and Lydia Margaret. She had another daughter, Catherine. As you know, Moses and Rhoda named their daughter Lydia Margaret also.
Rhoda married my g-g grandfather, Elisha Dotson Hollowwa, as her 3rd husband. You had his last name spelled wrong. I took a trip to Telegraph, Texas last year. Looked at a bunch of Charlotte Corey's stuff in the Library at nearby Junction.
How certain are you of the Stewart marriage? Was Rhoda divorced from Acey Bullard before his death? Because The Rhoda Bullard/Johnny Stewart marriage took place in May, I believe, and Acey didn't die til September the same year. Also, do you have any idea when and where Rhoda died, and where she is buried? Was Noah the son she may have lived with til she died? Someone said something that maybe she was a little of a loose lady? Do you know why she had all these husbands? I know some died by accident, but how about Mr. Hollowwa? Did he desert her and return to Alabama, as I suspect? So many questions I have. So, we are some degree of cousin. I have a new email address: . You may correspond via that if you like. I live in Granbury, Texas. Are you in Utah?
Hope to hear from you.
