On June 13, 2004 PR responds to my "Missing?" query:

You were right on the money!!! Elias A.(Anderson) Helland and Ragnhild Turine Helland are my g-g-grandparents, whose listed emigration dates were 1852 & 1854.
They were living in Polk Co., Minnesota, in the 1900 US census.

I believe you are right about the adoption of the Helland surname in honor of a farm or community they came from.

I now need help figuring out where they emigrated from...
Possibly Ragnhild's maiden name, or her birth city, or birth city of Elias, might be listed.

Any other clues where I might look???
