In order to move on the idea of starting an Anglo-Italian family history
society, Julie (listowner) and I (coordinator for the fledgling society)
thought it might be worth meeting up. In the hope that as many people as
possible can join us we have decided to get together at the Society of
Genealogist's Family History Fair, on Saturday 4 May. Time to be confirmed,
as we are trying to get access to a room, or may need to adjourn to
somewhere nearby for a coffee.
The venue is the Royal Horticultural Society New Hall, Greycoat Street,
Westminster London SW1. We'll meet up in the foyer, so it won't be necessary
to pay for entrance to the fair (£4 in advance, £6 on the day and well worth
it as this is the biggest fair in the family history calendar).
I hope as many of you as possible will come - please email if you intend to,
we need to know how many seats we need to find.
However, if you can't come, that doesn't mean you can't be involved. We
intend to conduct as much of the society's business as possible by
electronic means, so you can be involved wherever in the world you're based.
And we need you, wherever you are!
Best wishes,
Elaine Collins
Coordinator, Anglo-Italian Family History Society
