Thanks Kathleen, By 1913 my grandfather was a seaman so the Manchester
records would be before that. The boarding house he lived at was 106 Great
Ancoats Street. Manchester. The census actually says Ice cream hawker own
account. Someone has mentioned trying local church records, but as he did'nt
marry there I doubt if I would find anything.
If you come up with any ideas they would be most welcome.
