Apologies to members of this mailing list who are not also members of the
Anglo-Italian Family History Society, but the following message is rather
urgent.

We have had increasing problems delivering email copies of Italian Roots and
messages to email members, because some ISPs are blocking them as spam.
Members with AOL or BTinternet accounts seem to be the worst affected, but
others are also having difficulties receiving our emails and attachments,
sometimes because of the high security settings they have set up on their
computers. For this reason we have set up a private members' group on
Yahoo!, through which society emails can be distributed and the journals can
be downloaded. IF YOU ARE AN EMAIL MEMBER THE JOURNAL WILL NO LONGER BE SENT
TO YOU BY EMAIL (THOUGH YOU WILL RECEIVE A MESSAGE WHEN THE NEW JOURNAL IS
POSTED TO THE SITE). You must therefore join the group to receive the
journal.

Invitations with instructions of how to join were sent last weekend to all
members who have provided us with email addresses, whether email or postal
members. However, only a small percentage of these emails appear to have
been received and acted upon.

Please include your membership number in the body of the email so that your
application to join can be processed quickly - membership of the group is
restricted to current paid-up members of the Anglo-Italian Family History
Society.

next few days and you really wouldn't want to miss this bumper issue!
