Does anyone know of life in Campania (not the Roman Campagnia but the
Neapolitan
one) before or during the war? I am working on British citizens who were
exiled there
during the war, rather as Carlo Levi was sent to Eboli. The International
Red Cross
thought it was quite unsuitable - too hot in summer and too cold in winter
and too
primitive. Any other experiences would be interesting as a comparison.
