Hi everyone

I wonder if anyone can help with a conundrum?

My great great grandparents have Italy as place of birth on the 1891 census. This ties in with family hearsay, but I wonder why they had such an un-Italian names: Peter and Elizabeth Steele. What route should I follow to trace their path from Italy to Stourbridge, if any? I'm quite inexperienced at genealogy, so any suggestions would be gratefully received.
