Hello, I'm new to this list and seeking help from SKS for a friend who is not computer literate.

His name is Benetti b 1941 Cardiff; his father's name was Ernesto Radford Charles Evie BENETTI (ERCEB) b 8 June 1914 Cardiff; His grandfather was Ugo Ernesto BENETTI (UEB) b 1882/3 (according to his marriage certificate and the 1901 census), Italy. His great grandfather (according to UEB's marriage cert 1906, Cardiff) was Augusto BENETTI a wine merchant.
On the 1901 census UEB is a wine & spirit merchant assistant, living in Cardiff with an aunt and uncle, Cantuts and Elizabeth MARTISCELLI which looks more like Cantuto MARTINOLLI b1854/55 Italy, Secretary to the Austrian Consul.
I can't find UEB on the 1891 census however his aunt & uncle, Elizabeth and Cantido MARTINELLI b 1853/54 Italy is a clerk to the Austrian Consul and living in Cardiff.
I cannot find any of them in previous census. Elizabeth was born 1850 in Cambridge, Newmarket and may have been BAKER previous to this marriage, as on the 1891 census there is a stepson Charles BAKER b 1872/3, London, living with them.
Can anyone please advise us how to find out more about the Italian roots of this family?
