I am from the New Zealand branch of the Glenday family.

My ancestor was John Glenday ; I have no verified birth date. He married
Margaret Mitchell ; again no verified date.

Children from the marriage were John c 1802, Elisabeth c 1805, Lilias c
1807, Thomas c 1809, Helen c 1813 and David c 1816.

Lilias (my great x 3 grandmother) lived all her life in the Glamis area.
She married Samuel Mortimer - many of their children settled in the USA.
One of the USA descendants returned to Glamis to have the gravestone of
Lilias and Samuel restored.
I will be in Glamis in 10 days time to visit this grave and other areas of
interest.

Lilias' grandson George Laird (1864 Glamis - 1951 Auckland NZ) came to NZ in
the 1890s and married Louisa Beatrice Bishop.
