This discussion has been great and I applaud Mic, Chad, and Kathleen's
excellent advice! Mic was so right about never doing our own genealogy after
we start doing it professionally. Several years ago, I realized how terrible
my own files were when compared to the client reports I put out, and decided
to cut back on client work to do my own family. I still have research notes
several years old that I've never had the time to read over, much less enter
the data! It's frustrating. Mic's comment about having to skip over an
ancestor's records because of being on the clock for a client is so true. I
always say I'll go back and find it again, but that day seldom comes!
