I haven't seen any replies to this question so will put in my two cents
worth. Two (out of town) law firms/heir search firms have contacted me
over the years asking if they could put me on their contact list. I agreed
but have never had an inquiry from either one. The woman in charge of
probates at our county courthouse told me that she has never had a problem
with a missing heir. She has worked in that position for at least 10
years. This is a rural area where families are close and know everyone's
whereabouts. I feel that a larger city is a must for doing missing heir work!
