Eventually everyone who has attended national conferences for 10 years and
displays that level of addiction has to attend an institute in Alabama. It
is a given.<G> [I am biased having attended and lectured in both arenas].
And one should add the institute in D.C. to the same discussion [same bias].

The issue revolves around program. Which of the programs during the current
year seems to meet your professional needs best. In the absence of program
needs, then attend the Institute. I would not give up any of my national
program tours, but I cherish my student days in Birmingham and my lecture
stint also. I can't really say that I cherish national conferences. The
institute has a level of educational intimacy that lasts all week. You
really can't say that about conferences. Admitedly you will meet many people
at a conference, but you will gain lifelong friends from the institute.

judge my level of expertise overall to be high intermediate to advanced. I
am always interested in more education.

in RI and the Institute in Alabama, what would be your recommendation and
why?
