My current project is for a client who hopes to submit a Supplemental application on her Revolutionary War ancestor. The problem is, that extensive research notwithstanding, no direct proof can be found that her great grandfather is the grandson of the Rev Soldier. The indirect evidence (in the form of various documents) seems apparent to me and I am working on a report to prove collateral kinship, association, and onomastic evidence.

I am a member of DAR and aware of their high standards of proof. My question is posed to those of you who do Lineage Research. Will DAR ever accept Genealogical Proof Standard? What are your words of caution and advise?
