Caroline,
Beau Sharbrough wrote a very helpful article entitled "Handheld Computers:
Hardware, Software, and Use" that was published in the September 2000 APG
Quarterly. It addresses the advantages and disadvantages of a handheld, and
their future. Tony Burroughs just did a great presentation at GENTECH 2001
in Dallas called "Don't Leave Home Without It: Your Family History on a
Palm, which was probably recorded for sale by Repeat Performance (e-mail
to ask about it - it's not on the web site yet).
Good luck!
