While during the course of conducting searches, when I have found myself in
possession of information that is possibly sensitive, I report the facts to
the person who hired me. What they choose to do with it is not my concern.
I had one client who, after I gave him the report, asked me to "change the
dates a little bit" in the database I was preparing for him. My response
was that when I was finished entering his data into the computer I would
provide him with a copy of the disk. The information on that disk would be
factual and truthful. What he did with that information was up to him. (He
was planning on sending printouts to various members of his family.) I have
no idea what ever happened.
