Does anyone know if it is possible to identify, or plot, the locations of some of the land patents and grants described in Cavaliers and Pioneers in Virginia? Is there a handy reference? These descriptions as you may know are quaint. I would like to locate a 17th century ancestor via his land descriptions on a time line map. I know roundabout where his land patents were within 20 miles or so, but I would like, if possible, to locate them within a mile or so of the correct creek, town, river, hill, etc. Thanks
