Another statement anyone who wishes to can make is to donate blood. There
has already been a national blood shortage, and it is going to be much worse
now. Even if you live far from NYC, through a ripple effect, by putting one
more pint into the system, you can help.

Our flag is flying today, too. Everyone keeps asking me if my husband is
still in the Reserves. My answer is that he got out two years ago, but if
they get desperate enough for men, he is considered an inactive reservist,
and could still be called up.
