Do me a favor and send me some gas! I dont know when we last saw anything
under $1.50. Monday the 10th it was $1.69 a gallon, Tuesday night I saw $1.89
a gallon with police at the entrances of the gas stations letting one car at
a time in with people lined up in a panic. Thursday I felt lucky cus I was
able to fill up at a mere $1.63 which is cheap here lately.
There were reports of it being as high as $6.10 a gallon Tuesday night in
some places closer to Chicago....THAT is price gouging! But those stations
didnt get by with it, the Gov of ILL is pressing charges or something, and
they were made to give refunds.
Here in Northwest Indiana we laugh because the Amoco gas station directly
across from the Amoco refinery is always one of the highest priced
stations...and they dont even have to ship it more than a mile!
