I own all the census microfilm CD's for Brown Co., Kansas. The images are
very good. You can zoom in quite close and also lighten or darken the
image to make it more readable. You can select a particular page to
examine, or browse sequentially. There is no name index.

I discovered that my 1860 census CD was missing several pages from the
beginning of the census. I wrote to Heritage Quest, and they quickly took
action to replace the CD and paid for the return of the defective one.
