Elissa,
I can't answer your question about cd-roms as I
don't use them except the 1880.
I do subscribe to the ancestry.com digitized
census online and can comment on it.
It is always there whenever I want to work ..
even in the middle of the night. 1790-1840 is
indexed and the rest is set up by twp/Ed's and
being indexed as we speak. It is mostly quite
readable and they are replacing those that are
not as good as time allows. It loads a little
slow but not bad considering and I can print
copies of specific sections any time I want them.
My main problem with the cd's is they all say
"selected" counties or "selected" whatever .. and
my areas are never the ones selected LOL
I do have the 1880 and agree with you "better
than sliced bread" for any one who doesn't have
them yet.
