Subject: [APG] Genealogy class for 5th graders

Hi,
I have been asked to teach a beginning genealogy class to 5th graders. The
object is just to introduce them to genealogy in one or two sessions. They
have a major genealogy project in 6th grade. I have been told that one idea
that the teacher had was to have the kids write to governmental
organizations for free information.

I am meeting with the teacher on Wednesday and after that should have a
better idea of what she would like me to present. I think the teacher will
be open to ideas. Does anyone have any suggestions for fun genealogy
projects that might appeal to 5th graders?
