Subject: [APG] Have article - where to publish?
Date: Mon, 18 Mar 2002 16:20:51 -0800
I am completing an article, and am in a quandry re: where to publish it.
It's a chronology detailing 3 of my German families, showing migration
patterns from PA/MD to VA to OH, and also some of their Brethren and
Moravian connections.
I have used mostly secondary sources (will & deed abstracts, printed
genealogies, compilations etc.) and a few primary. I have LOTS of
footnotes, but NOT EVERY FACT is documented. (i.e., not every marriage that
I list has a source citation). Each chronology is 3-4 pages.
It's not teaching or describing a methodology, but listing some
interesting facts, chronologically, about 3 families who followed similar
migration patterns, and intermarried. I just don't know whether to send it
to a local or ethnic genealogy publication, or if it would be appropriate
for any national publications. If it's published at one, I then can't
publish it in another without significantly altering it.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
