Subject: [APG] New Chapter Organization Meeting
Date: Wed, 3 Jul 2002 10:58:26 EDT

Colleagues,

Donna Gruber has been kind enough to volunteer her home in West Salem, Ohio
for the organizational meeting of a new regional chapter of the Association
of Professional Genealogists. As an APG member, I'd like to invite you to
attend, become active in our new chapter and get to know your professional
colleagues, all of whom share your passion for genealogy.

While any APG member is, of course, invited to join our new chapter, those
who live in or whose research interests include Ohio, Michigan, Indiana,
Kentucky, and western Pennsylvania should find this of special interest.

The meeting will be on July 21, 2002 beginning at 1:00 PM. Directions to
Donna's home are below and she promises to set up additional signs to point
the way.
As genealogists, we're fortunate to live in an area that contains quite a
number of significant research facilities -- Allen County Library in Fort
Wayne, Hamilton County Library in Cincinnati, the Ohio Historical Society and
the Palatine Library in Columbus, the Western Reserve Historical Society in
Cleveland, and such archives as the Clements Library at the University of
Michigan in Ann Arbor. One of the goals of the chapter is to arrange periodic
meetings at such venues so we can become increasingly familiar with the
resources available to us while getting to know one another and engaging in
mutual support.

If you plan to attend, please e-mail or call me at
330-836-4448.
If you are interested in joining but can't attend, let me know and we'll keep
you up-to-date on the organizational activities. We hope to secure APG
approval at the August meeting.

Hope to see you on the 21st!
Bob Keener
