It's ironic that the "certified" copy is supposed to be a statement
that it's a "true" copy, yet in many instances it has transcriber
errors. As Gary said, an uncertified copy is more reliable than a
certified transcript. It's also unfortunate that many clerk's offices do
not have the ability to photocopy the originals (due to lack of staff, lack
of modern & expensive photocopy equipment that does not damage originals etc..)
