Subject: [APG] Designation for an attorney

Hello,

While researching a New Hampshire family who lived around 1800, I have
come across the following designation for the husband of one of the
daughters. Polly Sterne married a man named Ralph Hascall. Apparently
he was an attorney. There is a published book reference that titles him
"Hon. Ralph Hascall, M.C." Does anyone know what "M.C." means in this
context?

Thanks, Ted
