Replying simply to you. I have been gone but saw that the e-mail regarding
somebody here in Nebraska on the 1880 US Census. People here in Nebraska
have for many years, particularly in that part of the state (Seward County)
husked corn. Maybe that is what they were referring to in the case of
huckster. I'll keep reading the responses to see if anybody has other
ideas.
