Here's central Alabama, checking in. (Surely, I'm not the only Alabama
person on this list--just the most vocal <g>.)

Ivan sideswiped Tuscaloosa with his paw as he veered east. He took away my
power for 15 hours on Thursday, which gave me "found" time to catch up on
reading, and he gave me lots of exercise yesterday, cleaning up my yard--but
I needed both. Even Phil (the kid who once, notoriously, rubber-cemented
together my office files), came through unscathed in Pensacola and had the
time of his life as a communications volunteer for EMA.
