I've just encountered Ancestry's new search results screen and I must say
that it is awful, awful, awful. Search results are no longer categorized
and you get lots of extraneous search results that don't even include the
name you are looking for. A search for Richard Merritt in Missouri resulted
in every Merritt in the state who was enumerated on the census coming up as
a search result.

I hope everyone who finds it as distasteful and practically worthless as I
do complains to Ancestry. It is going to be much, much harder to find
information. The best bet seems to search by state and individual database,
but you still get extraneous results or no results when the person was there
yesterday.

I wish these folks would leave well enough alone. I'm torqued and hope the
rest of you are as well.
