Thanks to all for the great suggestions and contributions on teaching kids.
If you have more ideas, feel free to pass them directly on.
A little more background - the St. Louis School system received a grant for
the program. It will be a cooperative effort with the School System, the
YMCA, and St. Louis Genealogical Society. Initially, this program will be in
one school for six weeks as a test. Besides the work that I'll be doing in
the after school program, the teachers will also be working with the kids in
related subjects.
After the test program, we will evaluate it.
The hope is to expand to three schools for eight week program with field
trips to cemeteries and genealogical libraries.
