I am also a personal historian who does oral histories. However, I cannot
suggest books that would apply in this case. I have relied on my skills
gained as a news reporter when doing oral histories.

You might consult the Association of Personal Historians, of which I am a
member, at <http://www.personalhistorians.org/>;. Some of the members have
written books on the topic, which you might find on this site.
