I'll toss in my two bits since I use them all the time and I have to
agree. One nice thing also is if you have Massachusetts colonial and
early American they have most of the Vital Records to 1850 books and
some other New England sources.

I don’t remember the copies but basically they are overhead scanners so
that you can copy a book and not have to worry about breaking a binding.

A great place for southern lines and many northern lines.

I was at the soon to be old National Archives Southeast today and they
close their doors to researchers on 25 March for the move.

I recently visited the new Georgia Archives. Great facility. Bring a
picture
ID to obtain a card. You can use your laptop without the case. They have
ample lockers. Most impressive was the new copier. You place the open
book
page up on the copier and then print the left or right page; just make
sure
you copy the correct page. I don't remember the name of the copy machine
but
it is fantastic; much less wear and tear on books.
Also a big plus; the NARA regional office will open next door on April
1.
They share the same parking area; a genealogist's dream research
location.

Kindest regards,
Beth G.
