I did some work for an probate attorney up in Atlanta who needed me to prove the relationship between two people. It was a very interesting case. The deceased was 94 years old. A 91 year old woman stepped forward and claimed she was the deceased only living relative and was intitled to the inheritance. This woman had no real proof she was the 1st cousin to the deceased and she also couldn't really prove she was the only living relative. I really enjoyed researching this case and it turned out positively for the claimant.
However, the attorney contacted me again. He wants me to help him track down some LIVING people that are entitled to monies. I have heard that in some states you have to have a PI license to do this. How do I find out if GA is one of these states? You would think the attorney would know but this is a new field for him and he really isn't sure.
