Rodina,

Without checking anything else, it looks to me like "Bosshom" or
"Bosshons." I am quite certain that what looks like a "fs" or a "p" is a
double-s. I did an Ancestry.com search of the 1850 census for Dade
County, GA using only the first name "Martin" and found him (and
Juliann) indexed as BASSHAM. (I guess it could also be BASSHOM.) I did a
search on the surname BASSHAM (and on Bass* and Bassh*) and there are
several BASSHAMs listed in the 1850 census with a TN birth. I think
BASSHAM is a good possibility although I would probably do some more
checking. What does their listing look like in 1860 . . .1870 . . . ?
