I understand the drop in attendance for these national conferences usually
are held in a large hotel which cannot lower their room rates to what you
might get a Motel Six...or Days Inn...and so many who wish to attend are
retired and on fixed incomes.
I just got back from Nashville and I drove from Florida to TN to save a bit
of money. Four of us rode I the same vehicle.
Even though we drove my cost was still in excess of $1,200.00 for the entire
conference just for lodging. This does not include the conference fees and
three luncheon and banquet fees.
