I started at age 8 (now 26). My paternal grandfather got me interested
because of me being partly deaf and visually impaired I didn't hang around
people my own age. In June of 1993 when they had the NGS Conference in
Baltimore was when I joined NGS and was their first student member. I have
known Craig Scott since I was about 13 years old I met Craig in Baltimore at
the NGS Conference.

Now I have been actively involved in several hereditary societies,
historical and genealogical societies. Currently working on a degree in
Historical Preservation and serving as the President of the degree program.

I was a member of APG up until last year because of paying for college and
some of my memberships I had to drop because of the bills.

I specialize in Maryland Research from the Colonial Period to 1930... I
have been doing research for others since I was in my early teens. In
addition what helps me at times is the fact that I have a photographic
memory.

The way I see genealogy is that more young people need to start doing family
history. It is fun and a real learning experience.
