Another point on this subject. New Jersey has a rather large airport in
Newark. If one cannot share the information included on a birth
certificate - ie. your birthdate, how does one go about showing ID to get
on a plane? Your passport (a federal document) and your drivers license
(not necessarily from NJ) are the 2 forms of ID most used in airports.
Your passport being a Federal Document is not subject to control under
local law. Not everyone traveling within the US has a passport. Also, how
does a non-NJ license fall under this law?
