I was a member of the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) back in the
mid-1970s
and was referred to a heraldry book by a Fox-Davies (compound surname).
Perhaps you could find get a local artist to paint copies of coats of arms from
Fox-Davies and the like? Just be sure to clarify that you require a realistic
copy.
