Ellie,

The bibles have been fully indexed and scanned and are available at the
NGS web site. Go to http://www.ngsgenealogy.org/ and click on Research
Help then Members Only Online. You will be asked for a user name and
password. If you don't have one, there are instructions so that you may
obtain one. Scroll to the bottom on the page and click on NGS Bible
Records. Clicking again will take you to a page where you can enter the
name you are searching. You can even use wild cards and you can print a
copy from your home computer. See my article about the bibles in the
January/February/March 2006 issue of the *NGS NewsMagazine*, pages 9-10.

We invite everyone to send photocopies of their bibles. It does not
matter if they have also been deposited or published elsewhere. This is
just one more way to guarantee that the records will be available for
future generations. Photocopies, and a transcript, should be sent to
National Genealogical Society, 3108 Columbia Pike, Suite 300, Arlington,
VA 22204-4303. When received, they will be indexed and scanned by
volunteers and placed online shortly after receipt. The paper copies are
then filed alphabetically by the main surname in file cabinets.
