They have to vacate the premises within two years of the sale.

Announcement made prior to the vote:
"NYG&B To Sell Its Building"

Posts from members who opposed the sale:
"Attention NYG&B Members"

"Court Hearing on NYG&B's Proposed Building Sale"
http://blog.eogn.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2007/03/court_hearing_o.html .

The G&B's response to "Attention NYG&B Members":
"NYG&B's Response to Mr. Heffernan's Letter"
http://blog.eogn.com/eastmans_online_genealogy/2007/02/nygbs_response_.html , and

The last post says "Mr. Heffernan opposes the sale of the building that was approved by
the overwhelming majority of the Society's voting members, most of whom voted in favor of
the transaction by way of the proxy that accompanied the September 9th, 2006 notice." I
heard from several G&B members that the only pre-printed choice on the proxy for voting
was "Yes." Is that true?

Hi, Melinde.

A couple of quick questions below.

I assume you're talking about the NYGBS sale earlier
this year, which I was unaware of until your post.
But do you know if they are definitely changing
locations, or did they get a long-term lease out of
the deal as well?
