Subject: [APG] New York Metro Chapter Meeting
Date: Thu, 8 Nov 2007 11:56:54 -0500

The topic of the New York Metro Chapter meeting on Wednesday, November 14th,
at 6:00 p.m., is "Digital Publishing - Delivering Paper and BEYOND!"

ePublisher and New York Metro Chapter member David Kleiman will give us
an in-depth look at digital publishing options for client end products. He'll discuss
options ranging from online publishing and print-on-demand services to
sophisticated multi-media PDFs and DVD productions. David will touch on
the technical, business, and ethical issues (pros and cons) for each option and
how to do-it-yourself or engage others in work-for-hire.

David is President of Heritage Muse, Inc. (http://www.heritagemuse.com) and Chair of
the Metro Area Computers and Genealogy Group in New York
(http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~metrony). He has been involved in genealogy and
family history work for over thirty-five years. His two publishing companies design,
build, and market high-end digital reference works for university and public libraries
and individual scholars. David's technical genealogical work is on display at
http://www.rtrfoundation.org , where he is the web designer and author of the database
used by the foundation to track Eastern-European Jewish records.

The meeting will be on Manhattan's Upper West Side. If you'll definitely or probably be
at the meeting, please let me know at .
