Not having a known drop of Scandinavian blood, except in how it ended up in
the British Isles, the first thing I thought when I saw it (I have now seen
it about 20 times) was that it was cute.

Then I got to thinking. How did they determine in the archive that they
weren't from there?

Now, my surname, Le Scot, means "not from here." Which might explain why
there are so many Scotts not from Scotland.

It was just an experience outside of the realm of my experience. Go to an
archive and be told you are in the wrong country?????

Okay, so it was a commercial. But aren't commercials, like newspapers,
primary sources?????

I saw that on a commercial several times and still get a kick out of it.
Certainly did not do his homework before traveling across the pond !
