If anything, the article gives us some perspective on defining
"professionalism" by comparison to other organizations who have
already confronted the problem. And that is the point. Either we
define ourselves, or the marketplace will do it for us. I would prefer
the former to the latter. We are not defining ourselves clearly enough
for the marketplace to easily recognize either our purpose as an
organization or our services as individuals.
