Using the keywords "coffin maker" in the FHL catalog the following records
are found:
1. Records kept by M.T. Hall of Montgomery and Floyd counties, Virginia (he
was a casket maker)
2. Early coffin maker, F.W. Throp and Throp & Oakley Funeral Home records,
1852-1972 [Hartsville, TN]
3. Funeral records, 1837-1879 [These records are of the coffins made by
Charles Daub, the refer to Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and are in
German]
4. Copy of the account book of Isaac Smith, coffin maker of Cape May
County, New Jersey, 1809-1818
5. Births and deaths from Newport and Portsmouth : births of seamen
1798-1799, Job Townsend coffins 1803-1828, Benjamin Pearce coffin record
1835-1841, and deaths copied from Almanac no. 1, 1803-1844 [found using
keyword "coffin", refers to Rhode Island]
6. Coffin book ledgers, 1886-1929 [West Virginia]
7. Coffin book : 1881-1886 [New Jersey]
I have not looked at any of these records, so I can't speak to the
information contained in them.
