Subject: Re: [APG] Fw: Amazon selling our membership as a journalsubscription!

I learned from our membership chairman that several libraries get our journal, "Family History Capers," via the EBSCO subscription service. It's all transparent to our organization. The subscriptions probably didn't originate from Amazon but we probably wouldn't know either way. We offer an organizational membership which includes just the publication and none of the other membership benefits. We haven't negotiated any discounts with EBSCO or Amazon to my knowledge.

The Amazon price is 240% higher than our price and, even with USPS bulk mail, we beat tAmazon's 12-16 week delivery time. This looks like a marketing channel aimed at institutional customers. We've not seen a big uptick in sales to libraries and archives yet but we can alway hope!
